Immigration Protection Act

The Immigration Protection Act passed the Westchester County Legislature with bipartisan support and was signed into law by County Executive George Latimer on March 20, 2018! This bill provides vital tools for county law enforcement to build trust with immigrant communities and is fully compliant with federal law. Throughout 2017, Neighbors Link worked closely with a consortium of 20 advocacy organizations, as well as many legislators, especially the sponsor of the bill, Legislator Catherine Borgia, to make the passing of this bill possible.
