***Due to COVID-19, our volunteer opportunities have changed. We have volunteer opportunities related to delivering food and other necessities, unloading and packing food and other activities related to our COVID-19 response. If you are interested in volunteering, please email Martha Palomino, Volunteer Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org.***
We are excited that you are interested in volunteering with Neighbors Link! At Neighbors Link it is our mission to strengthen the whole community by actively enhancing the healthy integration of immigrants. We have found that having long term residents work side by side with our clients helps us attain our mission. Through your various forms of commitment, we take pride in your dedication to the critical programs and services that benefit our entire community.
The process to become a volunteer is as follows:
1. Get to know Neighbors Link: Learn more about how you can be involved by attending an information/orientation session. Normally, this session is held once a month from 5:00-6:00pm at Neighbors Link in Mount Kisco and Ossining. We will schedule our next orientation after the public health situation improves. If you would like us to notify you when the next orientation is scheduled, please fill out the form on this link.
2. Request a link to our online application: Once you have attended an information/orientation session, and you make the decision to join Neighbors Link as a volunteer, you may request a link to our online application by emailing Martha Palomino, Volunteer Coordinator, at email@example.com. Please note that due to the large number of volunteer applications that we receive, we are unable to accept all applicants.
3. Schedule an interview with the Volunteer Coordinator.
4. Placement: The Volunteer Coordinator will contact you to suggest a placement that meets your skills, interests and availability as well as the needs of the community we serve.
To view our volunteer opportunities, please scroll down to the opportunities section below. At this time many of our programs are full, but we do utilize a Wait List system.
**Please note that we accept high school volunteers and adult volunteers. Middle school volunteers are welcome, however, it is required that a parent stay on the premises during their volunteer sessions.
