ONA Hudson Valley Immigration Community Navigator

The ONA Community Navigator is a critical role ensuring that our programs and services reach those who need them the most. Neighbors Link provides innovative and impact driven programming to immigrant families and works to empower clients to successfully navigate community resources and to foster client leadership. The ONA Navigator will be responsible for supporting the Community Engagement Manager with outreach efforts throughout Westchester, Orange, Dutchess and Rockland Counties. The ideal candidate will have a general understanding of the needs of the low-income immigrant community. This position will report directly to the Community Engagement Manager.

  • Implement innovative strategies to share information about Neighbors Link to potential constituents and partners in multiple communities that align with our mission and goals
  • Liaison for the immigrant community; provide outreach and referrals as needed to current and potential Neighbors Link constituents
  • Maintain high levels of communication with our grant analyst that includes submitting upcoming events for approval and the preparation of and submitting reports on a timely basis
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with community leaders and owners of local establishments
  • Coordinate and implement programs including, but not limited to Workforce Development, Community Conversations, Impact Days, Roundtables, Workshops and Expos
  • Conduct outreach, screenings, scheduling appointments and submitting applications for qualified participants in multiple programs
  • Responsible for recording and reporting outcomes; maintain accurate digital and paper files; research and report on economic workforce issues facing immigrants in the counties we serve
  • Maintain an updated Outreach calendar (Houses of Worship, Community partners, etc…)
  • Enter participant records in Salesforce database and state portals
  • Provide follow up and ongoing support to program participants in between appointments, including document gathering
  • Reflect the values and philosophy of Neighbors Link by creating a caring, nurturing environment based on mutual respect
  • Maintain high levels of communication and work collaboratively with other Neighbors Link staff, volunteers and partner organizations
  • Provide administrative support to the Operations Manager; Coordinate assigned programs, outreach and special events for Neighbors Link; answer multi line phone system

Requirements:

  • Fluency in Spanish required
  • Associate’s degree or higher preferred
  • Excellent written, oral and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and customer service orientation
  • Ability to multi-task and work with other team members
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Google Suite
  • Familiarity with Google/Outlook calendar and database experience a plus
  • Commitment to the Neighbors Link mission

Salary range starting at $45,000 with good health benefits.
