English as a Second Language (ESL) Coordinator - Full Time

Job Summary:

Neighbors Link is looking for a full-time energetic, creative, and flexible English as a Second Language Coordinator. The successful candidate will possess an enthusiastic and passionate attitude that empathizes with their students and teachers and strives for their development. He/she should be bilingual with fluency in Spanish and should demonstrate a high level of cultural competence. The position reports directly to the Program Director. A significant portion of the position can be done remotely.

Principal Duties:

ESL PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION

• Oversees all ESL Programs throughout Neighbors Link
• Coordinates program planning and marketing efforts
• Handles registration of students and collection of registration fees (when applicable)
• Maintains classroom rosters and tracks student attendance and progress
• Oversees instructor time sheets, finds substitute teachers as needed
• Communicates with teachers, volunteers and students
• Refers students to other Neighbors Link staff and area partner organizations as needed
• Liaison to Volunteer Coordinator for any volunteer issues within ESL programs
• Ensures all ESL program data entered into Salesforce

OFFICE OF NEW AMERICANS (“ONA”) ESOL SUPPORT

• Supervises and monitors ONA client ESL progress: attendance, extracurricular study hours and overall skills improvement
• Monitors ONA ESOL client attendance at other NL workshops, classes and programs
• Ensures all ONA ESOL client data entered into Salesforce on a daily/as needed basis

SUPERVISION

• Supervise work of ESL Instructors

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) required. TESOL, English certificate preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office suite software, e-mail & Internet
• Experience serving adult learners, teaching ESL / ESOL
• Experience in working with immigrant communities
• Bilingual – Spanish required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 per year
