Bilingual Special Projects Coordinator

Job Summary:

Neighbors Link is looking for a full-time, proactive, compassionate, and flexible Project Coordinator to implement new initiatives and support immigrant residents in Westchester County who may be eligible for various forms of COVID relief. These projects include, but are not limited to, the New York Emergency Rental Program and the Essential and Excluded Worker Fund. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a friendly, passionate team that is highly connected to the organization’s mission. The successful candidate will have good attention to detail, be able to work collaboratively with staff, clients, and partner agencies in our three locations in Mount Kisco, Ossining, and Yonkers. The candidate must demonstrate a high level of customer service skills, cultural competence and be bilingual with fluency in Spanish. Some evenings and weekends required. This position will report to the Community Engagement Manager.

Neighbors Link follows all COVID safety guidelines provided by the CDC.T his position will be required to be on site in one or more of our locations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients at various information, screening and application assistance sessions at our sites in Westchester County
  • Conduct outreach, screenings, scheduling appointments and submitting applications for qualified participants
  • Enter participant records in Salesforce database and state portals
  • Provide follow up and ongoing support to program participants in between appointments, including document gathering
  • Maintain high levels of communication and work collaboratively with other Neighbors Link staff, volunteers and partner organizations
  • Reflect the values and philosophy of Neighbors Link by creating a caring, nurturing environment based on mutual respect

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational, customer service, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Google docs and sheets, and calendar applications. Some database experience is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities.
  • Bilingual (English-Spanish). Fluency in Spanish
  • Experience working with people from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and maintain flexibility as program needs change
