What does home mean to you? For many, that means comfort, safety, and a feeling of familiarity. But, unfortunately, for so many immigrants who leave their home countries to pursue a better life for their families, that feeling of comfort, safety, and security can be fleeting. With constantly changing immigration policies, media coverage that labels immigrants as dangerous, and an environment that is often not welcoming, many immigrants feel insecure and unsafe in their new home country.
At Neighbors Link, we work with immigrant families to rebuild the feeling of home. We offer a safe space where new residents can gain legal advice, take English classes, learn vital job skills, participate in parenting classes, advocate for their rights and build relationships throughout the community. This is all made possible through the generous support of caring donors.
