Adult Education, Employment and Economic
Development
Programs and classes at Neighbors Link are designed by and for parents
seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills of language as well as job
opportunities. The Worker Center, Job Bank, and other employment services
at Neighbors Link are for parents seeking supplemental and/or full time
jobs. Additionally, economic development programs are offered to people
wanting to improve job skills or gain new skills for other job possibilities.
These include computer training, sewing and tailoring, small business
management techniques, etc. Please refer to the above offerings on this
website.

Family Problems and Opportunities
Stable, healthy families are key to a successful future for the whole
community. Neighbors Link offers on-site help and referrals for personal
issues that impact family development. These include medical and mental
health, housing and homelessness, domestic violence, alcohol and drug
dependency, and other concerns critical to family cohesiveness.

Family Night
This Friday night program provides the opportunity for Family Learning and Socialization.
Family Night features pot-luck meals and educational seminars on healthy
marriage dynamics, child development, household budgeting, school support,
job networking and community building. The focus of this program is marriage and family life.
Note: Children's Program is offered from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for
children of participants.
Latino Alcoholics Anonymous
Grupo Fenix AA Meetings are held three nights weekly at Neighbors Link,
with referrals for personal help for alcohol and drug abuse offered daily
on site.
Legal Clinic
Neighbors Link, in collaboration with Pace University Law School, offers
a free Legal Clinic for constituents needing help with unpaid wages and
general immigration issues. |
